An octopus has about five hundred million neurons, and most of them are in its arms. Each arm can taste, touch and make small decisions on its own. Octopuses open jars, escape from tanks and recognize individual people. Some aquarium keepers say their octopus has a favorite visitor, and a least favorite one too.
