Goal: Type everything so far with at least 95% accuracy. Longer practice: maintain a steady pace through the opening, body and conclusion. Accuracy comes before speed.
By eight o'clock, the classroom had become an exhibition hall. Posters covered the walls, model bridges stood on the desks and a cardboard windmill waited beside the window. Amina checked the labels for the third time. Her group had spent a week building a water filter, and now the visitors were arriving. At first, she spoke too quickly and forgot the order of the materials. Then a younger pupil asked why the stones were at the bottom. It was a simple question, and answering it helped her slow down. She pointed to each layer and explained its purpose. When the bell rang, the table was crowded with questions. The model was imperfect, and the group had written down its limitations, but they could explain what they had learned. Amina packed away the jars feeling that the best part of the exhibition had been the conversation.
