Goal: Type a full passage of real text at a steady pace. Longer practice: maintain a steady pace through the opening, body and conclusion. Accuracy comes before speed.
A school library should welcome every learner, including those who are still building confidence as readers. Access means more than opening the door; it means making the books and the room easy to use. First, the collection should include short stories, reference books and material at different reading levels. A pupil who finds one enjoyable book may be more willing to try another. Second, clear labels and helpful staff can make finding a title less intimidating. A quiet corner gives pupils somewhere to read without distraction. These changes need planning. The school must decide how books will be borrowed, returned and repaired, and how the room will be supervised. A library cannot meet every need at once, but it can begin with a small, reliable service. By choosing accessible books and practical routines, the school can make reading a shared opportunity rather than a privilege for a few.
